Last Sunday Rowan Colette presented his Senior Recital on oboe and piano in the Chapel.
SUNDAY
Worship services begin at 10:50 a.m. in the Sanctuary at 8th and Runnels. Lectionary passages for the Seventh Sunday of Easter are: Psalm 1; I John 5:10-13; John 17:6-19. Rev. Allen Cross will lead the worship service. The sermon topic is “Do You Have Jesus? He Has You.” Organist/music director Gabe Martinez leads the music on the organ and piano and provides the Introit and Offertory
Sunday School begins at 9:45. Rev. Cross is teaching the Children’s Class. Tom Koger leads the Youth Class, which is studying “Faith Questions: Being Presbyterian in the Tent Room. The Discovery Class began a DVD study Be Like Jesus authored by Randy Frazee, formerly partner senior minister with Max Lucado in San Antonio – now in Kansas City. Rip Patterson will lead the class for the next two weeks.
Sunday morning Take Ten fellowship is in the parlor between Sunday School and worship. Wayne Larson is host for this week.
WEDNESDAY
Lectionary Bible Study meets in the library at 5:00 p.m.
THURSDAY
Everyone is invited to join the Lunch Bunch at 11:30 a.m. Bring a lunch and join the group in Fellowship Hall.
SERVICE OPPORTUNITY
The Service Committee asks everyone to bring hygiene products for those in need. Regular sizes of deodorant, shave cream, razors, combs, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouth wash, lotion, shampoo, dental floss, conditioner, wash cloths. Please bring these items to the church by May 16th.
