Weekly Bulletin for June 21, 2022

Where do you find refuge from the summer heat? How about from weariness? Or anxiety and stress? We actually have a lot of choices. Some are man-made and some are even self-made. Some are spiritual instead. Psalm 16 talks about finding refuge in God and the Psalmist even compares himself to people who look to God but who also hedge their bets by looking to other gods that are popular in the culture. These other gods come in all sorts of shapes and patterns and many of them are praised in the communities where we live. If there were no God, many of these other gods would even seem pretty good. Come to church this Sunday and we'll talk about refuge and where people look for it.

Come to the fellowship hall this Saturday morning for the monthly prayer breakfast. Our scheduled speaker this Saturday is Sheriff Stan Parker. Come at 8 a.m. to hear the Sheriff talk about what his department is doing to make Howard County a better place and enjoy fellowship time with your fellow members of the congregation.

Don't forget, this Sunday we will have Noisy Offering.
