What's not good for the swarm is not good for the bee either.

News:
Marcus Aurelius, Roman Emperor and Stoic philosopher learned this saying from his philosophical mentor Epictetus. This slave philosopher spoke wisdom for the ages that often resonates in Christianity and Judaism and even Buddhism sometimes. His point was that we cannot withdraw into ourselves or our spiritual contemplation or recognition of ourselves in terms of our beliefs. We have to get out there and do our duty to others. Our scriptures this week say something very similar. They are: Psalm 103:1-8; Isaiah 58:9b-14; Luke 13:10-17; Hebrews 12:18-29. These will be discussed in The Scriptures This Week podcast which comes out today.
Tomorrow is Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday! And that means Women's Bible Study and the return of the history seminars. The history class is beginning a study of the American West. It's a sweeping panorama to be sure, but one that is significant in our history of triumphs and failures. Lectionary Bible study will be tomorrow afternoon at 5:00 p.m. Attending all those things should make you hungry enough for lunch bunch in the fellowship hall at 11:30 Thursday morning.
Come on people. Let's swarm up!
God bless.
