Allen Cross also posts a Weekly Devotional at that website, which may provide food for thought or help during time of stress or feelings of isolation. The devotional is posted on Wednesdays. Wednesday Lectionary Bible Study continues to meet in Fellowship Hall at 6:00 p.m. with physical participants and welcomes those who are staying at home to join by computer on Zoom. The link to join in the Zoom group will be posted on the church website, in Faith Notes, and in the Sunday worship bulletin.
The Thursday Lunch Bunch is meeting in Fellowship Hall at 11:30.
The Service Committee will distribute lists for items requested for the Annual Food Drive beginning Sunday. Members are invited to pick up a list and a bag to fill and return by the end of October.
Members of the church have been reading the Psalm during Sunday worship. Tom Koger was the reader last week. This month members are asked to volunteer to read the Psalm for one Sunday or for each Sunday in the month.
The Sunday morning Take Ten fellowship in the parlor between Sunday School and worship has resumed. Cecilia Hallford will be host for this week.
Lectionary passages for the Nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost are: Psalm 106:1-6; Exodus 32:1-6; Philippians 4:1-9. Rev. Cross has chosen for his sermon topic βFor Leaders and Followers.β Rev. Allen Cross will lead the worship service. Organist/music director Gabe Martinez leads the music on the organ and piano.

A copy of the liturgy for the service may be downloaded from the website or by receiving a copy by calling the church office
